Frequently Asked Questions
about Cottonwood Foundation Grants
.............

Please note that as of December 2011, Cottonwood Foundation is in the process of ceasing its operations and does not plan to award grants in future years. Over the past 20 years since Cottonwood Foundation was started in January 1992, the foundation has awarded 624 grants totaling $643,062 supporting projects in over 50 countries.

A special final report which outlines the history of the foundation over the past 20 years has been posted on the Annual Report page Included as well on that web page are three summary lists of the grants most recently awarded by Cottonwood – in 2010, in July 2011, and finally the Legacy Grants awarded in October 2011 (special larger grants of up to $10,000 for longer-term projects that were mostly funded from Cottonwood’s Endowment Fund).

Although Cottonwood Foundation has ceased its grantmaking, Cottonwood’s board will be continuing to meet into 2012 to monitor the grants awarded in 2011 and to address issues as needed.

For several resources that may be helpful in researching other funders, see this page.
